Cooked Guinea Pig Dish
A deep-fried or roasted guinea pig, known as "cuy" in some South American cuisines, is presented whole on a white plate. Its crispy, reddish-brown skin is clearly visible, and the animal is laid flat with its head and limbs still attached. Accompanying the main dish are a small, whole potato with reddish skin and a corn husk-wrapped item, possibly a tamale or humita. The meal suggests a traditional Andean or Peruvian culinary experience.
