Flag of Burundi with Stars and Colors

The national flag of Burundi is a striking design featuring a large white diagonal cross, also known as a saltire. This cross divides the flag into four triangular areas. The two horizontal areas, at the top and bottom, are colored red, while the two vertical areas, on the left and right sides, are green. In the very center of the flag, positioned over the white cross, is a round white disk. Within this central disc, three red, six-pointed stars, each outlined in green, are arranged in a triangular shape. These stars are commonly understood to represent Burundi's national motto: Unity, Work, and Progress.
