South Korea National Flag

This is the national flag of South Korea, known as the Taegeukgi. Its white background symbolizes peace and purity. The central Taegeuk symbol, split in red and blue, represents the balance of opposing forces in the universe – red for yang and blue for yin. Surrounding the Taegeuk are four black trigrams, each representing one of the four elements or fundamental principles: heaven, earth, water, and fire, embodying harmony and movement.
